Lord Bonifer Tarly is Lord of Horn Hill who once wished to breed the finest animals in Westeros, Rather young for a lord he is only 6 months into his 19th Nameday.
History
Born from Lord Quentin Tarly and Lady Leonette Tarly (Formerly Tyrell), came Bonifer Tarly, the middle son of three, his childhood was like most of the reach. A simple one filled with laughter and small mistakes. Bonifer took more interest with his pets, archery, and studies at a young age; which inspired his outlandish dreams of becoming a scholar and searching for animals in Essos that haven't been discovered yet. He squired at House Tyrell for a few years(ages 10-16) where he met his closest friend Beren the Bard. But his lack of dedication for martial training and affection for summer wine had ultimately been the reason he was sent back home unknighted.
The relationship with his father wasn't so simple. Quentin only saw Bonifer's dreams as utter stupidity and cowardice, the only times he really gave his middle son attention was on the hunting trips that him and his brothers would go on. Even though he was nowhere near as skilled as his older brother, it was Bonifer's hounds and bow that proved, although a useless child to most, he was much more tactical then his brother was. Quinten pushed Bonifer hard to be his brothers Bannerman, Bonifer however valued his life much more then fighting for honor. Driven from his fathers constant pressure; Bonifer took to the night like in those romantic tales Beren would always coax him with, with only a sword and journal at his side.
It was his 19th nameday when he returned to the once lively halls of Horn Hill that now fell dead silent. Upon the high chair sat the crimson handled Heartsbane, the ancestral sword of House Tarly. there were few servants and soldiers left, including the old and withering maester who informed Bonifer of how his Father and Brother died fighting the usurper king and his mother who had managed to save House Tarly and Hornhill while Bonifer abandoned his duties.
Barely adjusting he looks to regain the Tarly's reputation of having some of the best warriors in the Reach, but to do so he must become a great leader and warrior himself [Which he is not at all]. He plans on traveling often, searching for places to hone his skill with Heartsbane and gaining respect from the lords of the 7 kingdoms, leaving the other tasks to his mother.
Important Events
First Era
Bonifer has been wandering Westeros with his best friend, Beren Merryweather. Bonifer has been seeking the finest Master of Arms, and Beren decided to accompany him, hoping to find the type of adventure on he open road that would provide him with material enough for songs.
They were attacked by Others in the Riverlands and rescued by Nathaniel Arryn and Ronnel Royce, who intended to escort them north. Instead, Bonifer and Beren got into a physical altercation and rolled down a steep hill into a river, separating them from the party.
They traveled with an old peasant woman up to the north, where Bonifer earned some coin working as a hired blade. They then bought passage on a ship to take them across the narrow sea.
Second Era
Bonifer and Beren sailed to Essos to look for a Master of Arms, after finding that they weren't being taken seriously in Westeros. They intended to sail for Braavos but ended up at Lys. A captain in the service of Varyo Velaryon thought that his lord would be interested in taking them on as prositites and so he brought them to Varyo's brothel.
There they made a bargain whereby Varyo would provide them with a Master of Arms, a few guards, a whore named Hycae, a ship, and some coin if they assasinated the Magister of Lys. The pair was successful, though somewhat accidentally so. They sailed back to Westeros with their prizes, intending to return to Bonifer's castle.
Instead, they became lost in the Kingswood and ended up in the Stormlands, where they stumbled upon Falia of Volantis. She asked for their help in freeing a boy she called her brother, who in fact was Cleos Baratheon. He was travelling in the custody of some bandits who sought to sell him to King Damon Lannister.

- Bonifer looks rather young for a Lord, the shadow of a not fully matured mustache was the only thing that made him look older. Bonifer is neither as large nor as handsome as his older brother once was. Dark golden eyes. His hair is wavy and dark. Heartsbane he hardly carried, only to ceremonious events and battles would you see it slung across his back, its crimson pommel and red tinted blade made it standout when it was worn.
- Not a big fan of armor he only wears it when absolutely necessary.
- He is in usualy company with Beren Merryweather, Tyro, and Hycae. A Lord, Bard, Whore, and Pitfighter. The group usually resorts to underhanded schemes and thievery to aquire only the things they need (Food, Gold, and Wine).
- He has long since forgotten his dream of discovering animals in all parts of Westeros/Essos. But he still holds his passion for training and observing animals.
