Elyssa Arryn is the youngest sister of Nathaniel Arryn, the Warden of the East.
History
As a young child Elyssa played with the bastards of The Eyrie, and rode the baskets with the turnips. Her brothers taught her some sword work out of boredom, and she was rather fine with a small blade. Her eldest brother, James Arryn, taught her how to use a bow, but she fell out of practice after his sudden death.
During her childhood she developed romantic feelings towards Damon Lannister, the then heir of Casterly Rock, who stole a sweetroll from the kitchen for her once while their fathers held council.
Recent History
First Era:
During the first era, Elyssa was in the Eyrie, still in training to become a lady of her House. Not much can be said of her activities.
Second Era:
Near the beginning of the second era Elyssa was called to Kings Landing to become acquainted with Lord Ronnel Royce, Lord of Runestone, and the man to whom she was betrothed. The two soon travelled south to attended the wedding of the Sarella Martell , Lady of Sunspear and the Princess of Dorne.
Upon their return, Elyssa and Lord Royce made a trip to Storm's End to attend the wedding of her brother, Lord Nathaniel Arryn , to Alyce Connington. At first, Elyysa was apprehensive toward his new wife and treated her with disdain, but soon the two became very close.
When the reports of Wights came in from the Riverlands, Elyssa returned home to the Eyrie where her brother Dake Arryn awaited her arrival. During the battle in the Riverlands, Elyssa recieved word of Lord Royce receiving a grave injury. The news sent her into a state of shock, and she wasted away in the Eyrie, refusing to eat or to bathe until Ronnel had been returned to her side.
When Lord Royce had regained his health sufficiently the two departed for Runestone.
