Eon Crakehall is the Master of Laws for the Iron Throne, having been appointed to the role after Nathaniel Arryn became Hand of the King.

History

The eldest son of Lord Lyle Crakehall, Eon has a long history of service to House Lannister. He fought in the Second Greyjoy Rebellion, oversaw the defeat of a bandit group that had been terrorizing the southern Westerlands, and was later selected to become Captain of Lannisport's City Watch by Loren Lannister. His tenure in the position lasted for a decade - time spent lessening the rate of the crime, maintaining peace and order, and finally organizing a much more competent policing force.

Due to his achievements at Lannisport and a close connection with the Lannister family, Eon became a viable candidate for the role as Master of Laws.

Important Events

Third Era

Eon was selected as the Master of Laws for Damon Lannister after Nathaniel Arryn became Hand, leaving the office vacant. He later arrived in King's Landing to take his seat on the small council.

He settled into the role quickly, bringing his own honourable brand of justice with him. Some of his first actions were to reshuffle command of the City Watch, terminate the use of torture in the dungeons and improve the standard of living for the average prisoner.

When Arron Fowler and Trebor Yronwood brought Jon Fossoway to King's Landing for his supposed crimes, Eon made the decision to send him to the Wall rather than execute him; a choice that angered the Dornish lords but helped prevent a political crisis between the Reach and Dorne.

Working with the King and Hand, Eon committed to improving upon the defences of the city and increase the number of gold-cloaks by opening up recruitment to refugees of the Spring Without Sun. After the routing of the Kingswood Children, he established the Kingswood Cloaks.

Fourth Era

At the outset of the Fourth Era, Eon became personally invested in the murder of three smallfolk children. He began a campaign of justice to see Cortland Darry - the perpetrator - sentenced and social attitude to the lower classes change.

Quotes

"Fierceness is needed for such a role, and none are so fierce as the Boar." - Damon Lannister

"Hate me, insult me, condemn me to the seven hells and back. It will make no difference. A boar's word is final. A Master of Laws word is final." - Eon Crakehall addressing Lord Arron Fowler.

"Do not cast a blind eye to this problem. Let me arrest and treat Darry lawfully. Let me show our people that your on their side. Otherwise, you'll have a much larger problem than missing queens and traitor kings. There's no point in playing the game of thrones, without willing people to rule over." - Eon Crakehall addressing Damon Lannister.
