Lyle and his second son, Clarent Crakehall.

Lord Lyle and his second-born son, Clarent, during earlier years.

Lyle Crakehall was the Lord of Crakehall and father to Eon Crakehall, Master of Laws for the Iron Throne.

History

Lyle was born during the outbreak of the War of the Split Stag and has seen service under several Lannister lords. Sometime during his youth, he was a ward at Casterly Rock under Gerion Lannister.

By the Second Greyjoy Rebellion, Lyle had become Lord of Crakehall, married Jocelyn Crakehall, and sired Eon with her. He fought bravely during the Battle of the Pyke, infamously killing two renown ironborn warriors, Urron Saltcliffe and Dagur Irontooth.

He later sired three more children.

When a bandit group began terrorizing the southern Westerlands, Lyle tasked his eldest son to deal with the threat. His other son, Clarent, caused the death of his daughter, Shiera, by bandits when he shunned his responsibility of escorting her safely in favour of hunting. Lyle harboured feelings of anger and blame for his second born ever since.

Lyle was a prominent and close ally of Lord Loren Lannister. At the time of the death, he had reached the age of sixty-three.
